Finding meaning - part 2

A long time ago I wrote an article that said some things that I feel might have been misunderstood. How I regretted saying some of the things I did!

I expressed my regret in a comment on the article. As a result, the director of Christian Info Society invited me to write a Part 2 where I could explain myself better.

That article is now online. I do hope you'll visit the Canadian Christianity website and have a look.

Wow! I feel so much better to see it there!

Dear Marja,

Thanks for writing and sharing with us. I am glad you have written and the article was published. I am sure God will make it a blessing and help to many.

Like you, I too have found meaning in life by the mercies and grace of God in my own struggles with bipolar disorder. But you are right that doesn’t take away the suffering mental illness causes us and so many others. We need to recognize this honest truth. I also felt the need to adopt a positive and hopeful view and I thank God that in Him I found hope, help and courage to live each day and cope with the challenges in life.

I am thankful to God for seeing you through the difficult times last year. Thank God for comforting you through His Words and creations, and enabling you to engage in creative projects that was healing therapeutic for both soul and mind. I too found comfort from God's Words and creative projects are therapeutic to me. Supporting others with mental illness is indeed a very fulfilling mission. I found meaning too in sharing with others what I’ve learned about God’s unfathomable love and can offer heart-felt compassion because I understand the pain of depression. This gives meaning and joy to my life. There is so much similarity between us :)

May God continue to work wonderfully in your life and make you a blessing to others through your creative projects and support to those who are suffering with depression and bipolar disorder. May you continue to know His love and comfort and be continue to share with others that they too may come to know the love and comfort that God gives, and the peace and meaning in life.

Take care and God bless!

Warm regards,
Nancie

Oh Nancie! It's so good to hear from you. Yes, we do feel the same about all of these things, don't we? True sisters in Christ, though separated by so many miles - different country - different culture - but the same in how we look on God and how we feel His love work in our lives. The same in how we like to help others, in the name of Jesus.

I hope you're doing well.

Love and prayers,
marja
