It's weird. I'm not depressed at all, yet I'm finding it so hard to get moving on the many things I need to do. I've had emails that need to be read and that need responses sitting here for days and I'm not getting to them. It just feels like too much. So many things I need to do, yet all I seem to want to do is retreat and read and read....and I'm not even getting around to doing much of that.
I haven't been visiting all your blogs either. Not that I don't want to. It's just that I have so much on my plate...and I'm having trouble picking up my fork and digging in. Don't know what it is. I'm frozen.
Guess it's time to make a list. Maybe I should buy some good chocolate and reward myself for each little thing I do. That would be a good plan, don't you think?...some good, healthy, dark chocolate. Yes!!!

I think it's okay to have "break" times. Sometimes we just have to obey our body and rejuvinate in different ways than we are used to. We all do it. If you need to sit and eat some rich, dark chocolate and read a good book for 3 days, sometimes you need to allow yourself to do that - for no other reason than you are listening to what your body is telling you to do. And, don't feel guilty for it. Come back refreshed, rejuvinated, and ready to hit the world (and blog world!) with passion again. Everyone needs a breaks; don't deny yourself yours. Thinking of you.
Maybe an invigorating walk might spring you into action. Then reward yourself with the chocolate! LOL
Oh Paula, you're so nice to suggest that. But you know, I just came back from a week's holiday a week ago. I don't think that's really what I need...though I do long for good lengthy times with my feet up and a book...and a good piece of rich dark chocolate.
And Anne, I did go for a walk this morning and I also made a list. Both of those are helping...and so is the chocolate. I've been checking a few things off. I've also decided to cancel out of one weekly activity I had planned to participate in.
Thanks, girls, for being there.
Hey Marja, it sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed with all the things on your plate. Just remember to take things one at a time. Don't put so much pressure on yourself ok?
Glad you managed to write out a list. I find it helps when I write out and plan which one is more urgent and need to be done first. And for bigger tasks/projects I am learning to break them down into smaller more manageable portions. This way with every portion completed, it gives me encouragement to plod on. And good of you to cancel out activities you can't participate in. It's wise not to over-strain or overload. Our health is important too. Do pace yourself moderately, take breaks in between and those chocolate surely helps too :) Keeping you in prayers. Take care.
I know the feeling because I get that way at times. I don't visit my fellow bloggers at times but I will knowing that the will always be there unless they decided to stop blogging.
I will be here.
Jim :)
not to worry...we all need our breaks. i feel like this frequently...and i know it is a time to recharge the batteries. like jim said...we will be around...waiting with open arms.
